Pieces of Promise ABA Center was founded by Charis Allgood, a Registered Nurse, advocate, and mother of a neurodivergent child who experienced firsthand the challenges families face when navigating diagnoses, school accommodations, therapy services, and community resources. After years of helping patients and families in healthcare, Charis recognized a critical gap in support for autistic and neurodivergent individuals and their caregivers. Pieces of Promise was created to bridge that gap by providing compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based ABA therapy alongside family education, advocacy, social skills development, and community support.

Our mission is to empower autistic and neurodivergent children, teens, and adults to thrive by focusing on their strengths while building the skills needed for independence, confidence, communication, and success. We proudly serve families throughout the Greater Houston and Katy areas, including those who have historically struggled to access quality services.

What sets Pieces of Promise apart is our lived experience. We understand the journey because we have walked it ourselves. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, we create personalized treatment plans that honor each individual’s unique needs, goals, and abilities. Through collaboration with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners, we strive to create lasting change and meaningful outcomes that extend far beyond the therapy room.

As a growing organization, our vision includes expanding access to therapy, mental health resources, social skills programs, vocational support, and community-based opportunities for neurodivergent individuals of all ages. Every child, adult, and family we serve is a promise worth investing in, and we are committed to helping them reach their fullest potential.
