Roots & Rivers Doula Services was created with the intention of honoring the wisdom passed down through generations of traditional birth workers. The name Roots reflects the legacy of granny midwives who used roots, herbs, and ancestral knowledge to support the health and wellbeing of birthing people in their communities. It represents a return to culturally rooted care that respects the body, honors tradition, and centers the needs of families, especially within BIPOC communities.

As a full spectrum doula, I provide compassionate, evidence-based support throughout the entire perinatal journey. My services include prenatal education, continuous labor and birth support, and nurturing postpartum care to help families feel informed, confident, and supported during this transformative time.

Since beginning my doula practice in October 2025, I have had the privilege of supporting 17 birthing families, offering guidance, advocacy, and culturally aware care that empowers parents and honors their unique birth experiences. At Roots & Rivers Doula Services, every family’s journey is treated with respect, intention, and deep community care.
