Freedmen’s Town Farmers Market was established in November 2020 with the goal of providing the residents of Freedmen’s Town with access to affordable fresh organic local food. Freedmen’s Town Fourth Ward HTX is a historic food desert and Freedmen’s Town Farmers Market aim to fill that need as well as provide a safe space for black farmers, gardeners, and entrepreneurs to sell their products.
