Dr. Nicole Lee Plenty is described by many as a person with a gigantic heart and a passion for service. Nicole was born in the town of Lafayette, LA but calls DeRidder, the small town in which she was raised, her home. During her college years, she held the title of the 2004-2005 Miss Xavier University of LA and graduated with honors with a B.S. in Biology from this institution. While in college, Dr. Plenty’s cousin died from complications of pregnancy which impacted her tremendously and was her driving force to become an OB/GYN. Dr. Plenty attended Tulane University School of Medicine where she obtained both a Medical Doctorate degree and a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Health Systems Management. Nicole completed her OB/GYN residency training as well as Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During her training, she was administrative chief resident and administrative chief fellow. Due to her interest in public policy and legislative issues relevant to women’s health, she has served on state and national levels in the American Congress of OB/GYNs (ACOG) , the American Medical Association (AMA), and the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine (SMFM).
Dr. Plenty is a double board-certified OB/GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician, aka high risk pregnancy expert. She treats complex medical conditions in pregnancy and also diagnose and manage fetal anomalies and take pride in navigating women through pregnancy and beyond.
