For over 3+ years, The Remedy has been home for grooves to soothe the soul, and stir the spirit! Proud to be Houston’s premiere neo soul/r&b program, centralized around breaking independent and lesser known artists as well as saluting the leaders of the genre. The Remedy takes particular pride in saluting and being a platform for Houstonian artists and musicians. The show began as a one hour celebration of music, and due to the feedback, reach and consistency of listeners, KPFT asked for the show to be extended to two hours.
The Remedy is commercial free, and is not curated by a program director, only by the trustworthy ears of host/creator MistaGoodBar. Artists/creators such as Sy Smith, D-Solo, The HUE, Lenora, Mr. Phil Wade have appeared and been interviewed on The Remedy, just to name a few. The show airs every Saturday from 6-8pm on KPFT 90.1 FM in HD2, and is available for streaming on iHeartRadio, Mixcloud, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Spreaker.
